Class Title: Paper Caper Mini Quilt: English Paper Piecing Made Easy
Class Description:
Discover the joy of English Paper Piecing (EPP) in this delightful two-day workshop inspired by Sue Daly's Paper Caper Mini Quilts! Skip the tedious tracing and cutting—just pop out the ready-to-use templates and dive right into stitching your mini quilt masterpiece.
What is English Paper Piecing (EPP)?
EPP involves stabilizing fabric pieces with pre-cut paper templates before sewing them together by hand to create intricate and precise designs. This technique is especially effective for shapes with curves, angles, or set-in corners, such as hexagons, that would be challenging to sew using a machine. Because EPP is hand-stitched, it’s the perfect on-the-go project for travel, relaxation, or mindful stitching sessions.
In this class, you'll learn Sue Daly's unique glue-pen method for quick and accurate EPP, combined with simple appliqué techniques to bring your mini quilt design together seamlessly.
Class Highlights:
- Understand the fundamentals of hand-stitched EPP designs for curved and angled shapes.
- Enjoy a portable, stress-relieving stitching experience perfect for travel or quiet moments.
- Receive a pop-out pillow box to store your templates neatly and securely.
